Love, love, love this restaurant and the staff! The owner and his wife are super sweet people. Cherole that works there is also a very nice person and a terrific cook as she makes all the sides fresh! I had never been a fan of hotdogs until I ate one of Rob's. The pricing is a good value too!

This is a great place to get lunch. Great dogs, great side dishes, nice owners and a hell of a bargain.

UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY DELETES ALL NEGATIVE REVIEWS! After discovering that my (and my husband's) reviews were deleted from google, I placed my review in other places on the internet, all of which are now gone. My review, though negative, is an honest representation of my experience. So, on top of being a crappy place to grab lunch, this establishment's business practices are unethical, and I will be informing EVERYONE of this sorry excuse for a "business" whenever I am presented with the opportunity. (Good luck making people forget what they physically hear.) If you want to offer a sub-par product and put your name on it, whatever. That's a decision that's not technically hurting anyone. However, unethical and dishonest business practices are something that I cannot and WILL not abide. Please, If you read this before it's deleted again, DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT. If you need more reasons, here they are:

Prior to September 2015, Nik's hot dog shack set a high standard for inventive and amazing hot dogs. Rob's Hot dog shack not only fails to meet this standard, but falls catastrophically short. Rob's is a cheap, poorly executed knockoff of Nik's, with the same pricing (if not a few pennies higher). Maybe if you had changed the logo, menu, decor, or done *something* more than change literally three letters in the establishment's name, I would have not expected the same quality that I'd grown to expect from Nik's.

When this place was NIK'S hot dog shack, it was fantastic. The atmosphere was always energetic and happy, and the food was beyond incredible. I'm usually not a big fan of hot dogs, but I found myself craving these regularly. Today was one of those days.

I was sad to see that the ownership had changed and that the cheerful guy in the back was no longer grilling up his masterpieces, but I decided to remain optimistic. Right off, the atmosphere was....dry. Country music droning at a barely audible volume in the background, and the lady at the register had a lukewarm attitude at best. We Ordered a Mac n Cheese dog, A NY dog, and an El Cubano, all to go. No sides, no drinks just three hot dogs. We had to wait a lot longer than before, but that wasn't a huge deal, we're patient people.

We got the hot dogs home (a two minute drive in peak traffic) to discover three barely warm, sad, cheap looking hot dogs and nothing else in the boxes. (Nik's came with a slice of watermelon and a pickle. Everything always still looked nice when we got it home, and was usually still too hot to eat right off.) Again, not a big deal on its own, just another expectation not met.

To be fair, they taste better than they look, but they still don't taste good. There is a VERY noticeable decline in the quality of ingredients, and in the care with which the food is prepared.
    Here's a quick rundown

Mac and cheese dog: Dry, bland, rubbery, barely existent mac and cheese haphazardly scattered around the box and sort-of on top of a nearly burnt hot dog laying on bacon strips, all of which sat on top of (not inside of) a cheap, flat bun.

NY dog: Tin-can tasting (but otherwise flavorless), tough as leather, and somehow *dry* kraut with tasteless "spicy" mustard, both haphazardly slopped onto a split (but not grilled) lukewarm hot dog. Again, Sitting on top of a bun that just kind of...fell open, and then apart.

El Cubano: Hot dog laying on top of a crappy bun just like the others, but NEXT TO all of the toppings, which were glued to the wax paper with cheese. It's very probable that the car ride knocked the cheese, etc off, but this could have been easily mitigated by using a box of the proper size or by putting all of the hot dogs into just one of the huge takeout boxes, instead of each having the freedom to roll all over during transport. (was that really not thought about?)

I'm pretty upset that we wasted almost $20 on three crappy hot dogs. This place is a huge disappointment and we won't be back.

    (Thank you for reading.)
